Halal supermarket in France told to sell pork and alcohol or face closure
A halal supermarket in France has been instructed to start selling pork and alcohol or face being shut down by the local authorities ,according to the local authorities the customers are not being served properly if the shop does not sell pork or alcohol products.
Shop manager Soulemane Yalcin is taking legal action in an attempt to keep his shop, arguing that they catered to the demands of local customers.
“It’s business,” said Mr Yalcin.
“I look around me and I target what I see. The lease states ‘general food store and related activities’ – but it all depends on how you interpret ‘related activities’,”
